विन्ध्यवृद्धिनिवारणम् — The Restraint of the Vindhya
Agastya’s Injunction
'प्रभो! आप ही हमारे स्रष्टा और पालक हैं। आप ही सम्पूर्ण जगत्का संहार करनेवाले हैं। इस स्थावर और जंगम सम्पूर्ण जगत्की सृष्टि आपने ही की है ।। त्वया भूमि: पुरा नष्टा समुद्रात् पुष्करेक्षण । वाराहं वपुराश्रित्य जगदर्थ समुद्धृता,“कमलनयन! पूर्वकालमें आपने वाराहरूप धारण करके सम्पूर्ण जगत्के हितके लिये समुद्रके जलसे इस खोयी हुई पृथ्वीका उद्धार किया था
prabho! āp hī hamāre sraṣṭā aura pālaka haiṃ. āp hī sampūrṇa jagat-kā saṃhāra karane-vāle haiṃ. is sthāvara aura jaṅgama sampūrṇa jagat-kī sṛṣṭi āpne hī kī hai. tvayā bhūmiḥ purā naṣṭā samudrāt puṣkarekṣaṇa, vārāhaṃ vapur āśritya jagad-arthaṃ samuddhṛtā.
“ప్రభో! మీరు మాత్రమే మా స్రష్ట, మా పరిరక్షకుడు; మీరు మాత్రమే సమస్త జగత్తును లయముచేయువారు. స్థావర-జంగమములైన ఈ సమస్త లోకసృష్టి మీ ద్వారానే ఏర్పడింది. ఓ కమలనయనా! పూర్వకాలంలో భూమి సముద్రజలములో నశించినప్పుడు, మీరు వరాహరూపం ధరించి జగత్తు హితార్థం ఆ భూమిని జలమునుండి పైకి ఎత్తి రక్షించారు।”
