देव–विष्णु–संवादः । कालेयगणस्य समुद्राश्रयः । अगस्त्योपसर्पणम्
Devas and Viṣṇu on the Kāleyas; Approach to Agastya
कालेयोंके भयसे त्रस्त हुए साक्षात् इन्द्रदेवने सर्व-शक्तिमान् भगवान् नारायणकी शीघ्रतापूर्वक शरण ली ।। तं शक्रं कश्मलाविष्टं दृष्टवा विष्णु: सनातन: । स्वतेजो व्यदधाच्छक्रे बलमस्य विवर्धयन्,इन्द्रको इस प्रकार मोहाच्छन्न होते देख सनातन भगवान् विष्णुने उनका बल बढ़ाते हुए उनमें अपना तेज स्थापित कर दिया
kāleyānāṁ bhayena trastāḥ sākṣād indradevena sarva-śaktimān bhagavān nārāyaṇaḥ śīghratāpūrvakaṁ śaraṇaṁ prāptaḥ || taṁ śakraṁ kaśmalāviṣṭaṁ dṛṣṭvā viṣṇuḥ sanātanaḥ | sva-tejo vyadadhāc chakre balam asya vivardhayan ||
కాలేయుల భయంతో కలతచెందిన ఇంద్రదేవుడు సర్వశక్తిమంతుడైన భగవాన్ నారాయణుని శీఘ్రంగా శరణు కోరాడు. శక్రుడు మోహం, విషాదంతో ఆవరించబడి ఉన్నాడని చూసిన సనాతన విష్ణువు తన దివ్య తేజస్సును ఇంద్రునిలో నింపి అతని బలాన్ని వృద్ధి చేశాడు।
