ततो वृत्रवधे यत्नमकुर्वस्त्रिदशा: पुरा । पुरंदरं पुरस्कृत्य ब्रह्माणमुपतस्थिरे,तब समस्त देवता वृत्रासुरके वधके प्रयत्नमें लग गये। वे देवराज इन्द्रको आगे करके ब्रह्माजीके पास गये
tato vṛtravadhe yatnam akurvaṃs tridāśāḥ purā | puraṃdaraṃ puraskṛtya brahmāṇam upatasthire ||
అప్పుడు పూర్వకాలంలో త్రిదశ దేవతలు వృత్రవధకు యత్నించారు. పురందరుడైన ఇంద్రుని ముందుంచి వారు బ్రహ్మదేవుని సమీపానికి వెళ్లారు.
