Āraṇyaka-parva, Adhyāya 1 — The Pandavas’ Exit from Gajasāhvaya and the Citizens’ Lament (जनमेजयप्रश्नः; पाण्डवानां वनप्रस्थानम्)

क्व गमिष्यथ भद्रं वस्त्यक्त्वास्मान्‌ दुःखभागिन: । वयमप्यनुयास्यामो यत्र यूयं गमिष्यथ,'पाण्डवो! आपलोगोंका कल्याण हो। हम आपके वियोगसे बहुत दुःखी हैं। आपलोग हमें छोड़कर कहाँ जा रहे हैं? आप जहाँ जायँगे वहीं हम भी आपके साथ चलेंगे

kva gamiṣyatha bhadraṃ vo tyaktvāsmān duḥkhabhāginaḥ | vayam apy anuyāsyāmo yatra yūyaṃ gamiṣyatha |

“పాండవులారా, మీకు మంగళం కలుగుగాక. మమ్మల్ని—దుఃఖంలో భాగస్వాములైన మమ్మల్ని—వదిలి మీరు ఎక్కడికి వెళ్తున్నారు? మీరు ఎక్కడికి వెళ్తారో అక్కడికే మేమూ మీ వెంట వస్తాము.”
