पज्च पज्चैव लिप्सन्ति ग्रामकान्‌ पाण्डवा नृूप । न च दित्ससि तेभ्यस्तांस्तच्छमं न करिष्यसि

Transliteration

pañca pañcaiva lipsanti grāmakān pāṇḍavā nṛpa | na ca ditsasi tebhyaḥ tāṁs tac chamaṁ na kariṣyasi narendra ||

Translation

నృపా, పాండవులు కేవలం ఐదు గ్రామాలనే కోరుతున్నారు; కానీ నీవు వాటినీ వారికి ఇవ్వదలచలేదు. అందువల్ల నీవు సంధి ద్వారా శాంతి స్థాపించబోవడం లేదని స్పష్టమవుతోంది.
