यत्‌ त्वमेवंगते ब्रूया: पश्चिमे वयसि स्थित: । शास्त्राद्‌ वा सुप्रतर्काद्‌ वा सुस्थिर: स्थविरो हासि

Transliteration

yat tvam evaṃgate brūyāḥ paścime vayasi sthitaḥ | śāstrād vā supratarkād vā susthiraḥ sthaviro hāsi ||

Translation

మీరు ఇప్పుడు జీవితపు చివరి దశలో—వృద్ధాప్యంలో—ఉన్నారు. ఈ స్థితిలో మీరు చెప్పేది శాస్త్రాధారంగానూ, స్పష్టమైన లోకతర్కంగానూ సముచితమే. మీ నిర్ణయ స్థైర్యమే మిమ్మల్ని నిజమైన ‘స్థవిరుడు’—సత్యమైన పెద్దవాడు—గా నిలుపుతుంది.
