Arjuna’s Address to Krishna: Agency, Action, and Immediate Counsel
yādṛśe ca kule janma sarvarājābhipūjite | bandhūbhiś ca suhṛdbhiś ca bhīma tvam asi tādṛśaḥ ||
The verse underscores the ethical weight of lineage and public honor: one who is born in a renowned family and supported by kin and friends should live up to that standing through conduct befitting their social and moral responsibilities.
Bhīmasena addresses “Bhīma,” praising his noble birth and the respect he commands among kings, while reminding him that his family support and reputation imply a corresponding duty to act in a manner worthy of that status.
