Udyoga Parva, Adhyāya 72 — Bhīmasena’s counsel on conciliation and Duryodhana’s disposition
शमं वै याचमानस्त्वं नाधर्म तत्र लप्स्यसे । कुरून् विगर्हयिष्यन्ति धृतराष्ट्र च पार्थिवा:
śamaṃ vai yācamānas tvaṃ nādharmaṃ tatra lapsyase | kurūn vigarhayiṣyanti dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ ca pārthivāḥ ||
మీరు శాంతి కోసం వేడుకొని సమాధానానికి అభ్యర్థిస్తే, అందువల్ల మీకు అధర్మభాగం ఏమీ ఉండదు. బదులుగా రాజులు కౌరవులను, ధృతరాష్ట్రుని కూడా, గర్హిస్తారు.
