Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 71 — Kṣatra-dharma Counsel, Public Legitimacy, and Mobilization
अस्मान् वेत्थ परान् वेत्थ वेत्थार्थान् वेत्थ भाषितुम् । यद् यदस्मद्धितं कृष्ण तत् तद् वाच्य: सुयोधन:,श्रीकृष्ण! आप हमको जानते हैं, कौरवोंको भी जानते हैं, हम दोनोंके स्वार्थोंसे भी आप अपरिचित नहीं हैं और बातचीत कैसे करनी चाहिये, यह भी आपको अच्छी तरह ज्ञात है। अतः जिस-जिस बातसे हमारा हित हो, वह सब आप दुर्योधनको बतावें
asmān vettha parān vettha vetthārthān vettha bhāṣitum | yad yadasmaddhitaṃ kṛṣṇa tat tad vācyaḥ suyodhanaḥ ||
శ్రీకృష్ణా! మీరు మమ్మల్ని కూడా, ఇతరులను (కౌరవులను) కూడా తెలుసు; ఇరుపక్షాల ప్రయోజనాలను కూడా మీరు గ్రహించారు; సభలో ఎలా మాట్లాడాలో కూడా మీకు బాగా తెలుసు. కనుక, ఓ కృష్ణా, మా హితానికి ఏది ఏది అనుకూలమో అది అంతా సుయోధనునికి (దుర్యోధనునికి) చెప్పండి.
