येषु सम्प्रतितिष्ठेयु: कुरव: पीडिता: परै: । ते युद्ध नाभिनन्दन्ति तत् तुभ्यं तात रोचताम्,शत्रुओंसे पीड़ित होनेपर कौरवसैनिक जिनके आश्रयमें खड़े हो सकते हैं, वे ही लोग युद्धका अनुमोदन नहीं कर रहे हैं। तात! उनके इस विचारको तुम्हें भी पसंद करना चाहिये
yeṣu sampratitiṣṭheyuḥ kuravaḥ pīḍitāḥ paraiḥ | te yuddhaṃ nābhinandanti tat tubhyaṃ tāta rocatām ||
శత్రువుల చేత పీడింపబడినప్పుడు కౌరవులు ధృఢంగా నిలబడగల ఆధారస్తంభాలైన వారు—అవారే యుద్ధాన్ని సమర్థించడం లేదు. కాబట్టి, తాత, వారి తీర్పు నీకూ రుచించుగాక.
