उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय ५ (कृष्णनीति: न्यायशम-उपदेशः; विराट-द्रुपदयोः सैन्यसमाह्वानम्)
समाकुला मही राजन् कुरुपाण्डवकारणात् | तदा समभवत् कृत्स्ना सम्प्रयाणे महीक्षिताम्
samākulā mahī rājan kurupāṇḍavakāraṇāt | tadā samabhavat kṛtsnā samprayāṇe mahīkṣitām ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—రాజా, కురువులు పాండవుల మధ్య విరోధం కారణంగా సమస్త భూమి కలవరపడింది. ఆ సమయంలో రాజులు కదలికకు బయలుదేరగా, సర్వలోకం ఒకే అశాంత ప్రవాహంలో కొట్టుకుపోతున్నట్లుగా అనిపించింది.
