उद्योगपर्व — विदुरनीतिः (Adhyāya 37): आयुःक्षयहेतवः, नीतिसूत्राणि, बलभेदाः, पाण्डव-विग्रहदोषदर्शनम्
नित्यं सन्तः कुले जाता: पावकोपमतेजस:
nityaṁ santaḥ kule jātāḥ pāvakopama-tejasaḥ
విదురుడు చెబుతున్నాడు—ఈ వంశంలో నిత్యం సత్పురుషులు జన్మిస్తారు; వారి తేజస్సు అగ్నివలె ఉంటుంది. అంటే శీలధర్మబలం యాదృచ్ఛికం కాదు; అది పునఃపునః వారసత్వంగా వెలిసే సంపద—ప్రస్తుత నిర్ణయాలకు దారి చూపేది.
