Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 34 — Vidura’s Counsel on Deliberation, Speech-Discipline, and Dharmic Kingship
यावत् कीर्तिर्मिनुष्यस्य पुण्या लोके प्रगीयते । तावत् स पुरुषव्याप्र स्वर्गलोके महीयते,पुरुषश्रेष्ठ] इस लोकमें जबतक मनुष्यकी पावन कीर्तिका गान किया जाता है, तबतक वह स्वर्गलोकमें प्रतिष्ठित होता है
yāvat kīrtir manuṣyasya puṇyā loke pragīyate | tāvat sa puruṣavyāghra svargaloke mahīyate ||
విదురుడు అన్నాడు—ఈ లోకంలో మనిషి యొక్క పవిత్ర కీర్తి ఎంతకాలం పాడబడుతుందో, అంతకాలం అతడు స్వర్గలోకంలో గౌరవింపబడి మహిమ పొందుతాడు.
