Sanjaya’s Counsel Toward Conciliation
पज्चालानामधिपं चैव वृद्ध धृष्टय्युम्नं पार्षत॑ याज्ञसेनिम् । सर्वे वाच॑ शृणुतेमां मदीयां वक्ष्यामि यां भूतिमिच्छन् कुरूणाम्
sañjaya uvāca | pāñcālānām adhipaṃ caiva vṛddhaṃ dhṛṣṭadyumnaṃ pārṣataṃ yājñasenim | sarve vācaṃ śṛṇutemāṃ madīyāṃ vakṣyāmi yāṃ bhūtim icchan kurūṇām ||
సంజయుడు పలికెను—పాంచాలుల వృద్ధాధిపతి ద్రుపదుని, అతని కుమారుడు పార్షత ధృష్టద్యుమ్నుని (యాజ్ఞసేనిని) కూడా నేను ఆహ్వానిస్తున్నాను. మీరందరూ నా మాటలను వినండి; కురువుల క్షేమసంపదలను కోరుతూ నేను చెప్పబోయేదాన్ని చెప్పుదును.
