Adhyāya 20 — Rājadharma Argument for Paternal Inheritance and Timely Conciliation

सभायां क्लेशितैवीरै: सहभार्यैस्तथा भृशम्‌ । अरण्ये विविधा: क्लेशा: सम्प्राप्तास्तै: सुदारुणा:,'पत्नीसहित वीर पाण्डवोंको कौरव-सभामें भारी क्लेश पहुँचाया गया तथा वनमें भी उन्हें नाना प्रकारके भयंकर कष्ट भोगने पड़े

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

sabhāyāṃ kleśitair vīraiḥ saha-bhāryais tathā bhṛśam |

araṇye vividhāḥ kleśāḥ samprāptās taiḥ sudāruṇāḥ ||

సభలో ఆ వీరులు భార్యలతో కూడి తీవ్రంగా బాధింపబడ్డారు; అరణ్యంలో కూడా వారికి అనేక విధాలైన అత్యంత దారుణ కష్టాలు సంభవించాయి।
