Bhishma and Rama: Restraint and Withdrawal in the Engagement
छन््द्यमाना वरेणाथ सा वव्रे मत्पराजयम् । हनिष्यसीति तां देव: प्रत्युवाच मनस्विनीम्
chandyamānā vareṇātha sā vavre mat-parājayam | haniṣyasīti tāṃ devaḥ pratyuvāca manasvinīm ||
వరాన్ని కోరమని చెప్పగా ఆమె నా పరాజయాన్ని వరంగా కోరింది. అప్పుడు మహాదేవుడు ఆ దృఢసంకల్పినితో—“నీవు నిశ్చయంగా భీష్ముని వధిస్తావు” అని పలికాడు।
