स मुक्तो न्‍्यपतत्‌ तूर्ण सब्ये पाश्वे महाहवे । येनाहं भृशमुद्विग्नो व्याघूर्णित इव द्रुम:,उस महान्‌ युद्धमें उनके धनुषसे छूटा हुआ वह बाण तुरंत मेरी बायीं पसलीपर पड़ा, जिससे मैं अत्यन्त उद्विग्न होकर वृक्षकी भाँति झूमने लगा

sa mukto nyapatat tūrṇaṃ savye pārśve mahāhave | yenāhaṃ bhṛśam udvigno vyāghūrṇita iva drumaḥ ||

ఆ మహాయుద్ధంలో ఆయన ధనుస్సు నుండి విడిచిన ఆ బాణం వేగంగా వచ్చి నా ఎడమ ప్రక్కను తాకింది; ఆ దెబ్బతో నేను తీవ్రంగా కలవరపడి, గాలికి ఊగే వృక్షంలా తూలిపోయాను.
