तत्‌ करिष्ये कुरुक्षेत्रे योत्स्ये विप्र त्वया सह । डन्ड्े राम यथेष्टं मे सज्जीभव महाद्युते,“आप उस समय मेरे बाहुबल और अलौकिक पराक्रमको देखियेगा। भृगुनन्दन! ऐसी स्थितिमें भी मैं जो कुछ कर सकता हूँ, उसे अवश्य करूँगा। विप्रवर! मैं कुरुक्षेत्रमें चलकर आपके साथ युद्ध करूँगा। महातेजस्वी राम! आप द्वब्द्ययुद्धके लिये इच्छानुसार तैयारी कर लीजिये

tat kariṣye kuru-kṣetre yotsye vipra tvayā saha | daṇḍe rāma yatheṣṭaṁ me sajjībhava mahādyute ||

“So be it—I shall do this. On the field of Kurukṣetra I will fight with you, O brāhmaṇa. O Rāma of great splendor, take up your staff and prepare yourself as you wish for the duel. At that time you will witness the strength of my arms and my extraordinary valor; even in such a situation, whatever lies within my power, I will certainly do.”
