को जातु परभावां हि नारीं व्यालीमिव स्थिताम्‌ | वासयेत गृहे जानन्‌ स्त्रीणां दोषो महात्यय:,“दूसरेके प्रति अनुराग रखनेवाली नारी सर्पिणीके समान भयंकर होती है। कौन ऐसा पुरुष होगा, जो जान-बूझकर उसे कभी भी अपने घरमें स्थान देगा; क्योंकि स्त्रियोंका (परपुरुषमें अनुरागरूप) दोष महान्‌ अनर्थका कारण होता है

ko jātu parabhāvāṁ hi nārīṁ vyālīm iva sthitām | vāsayet gṛhe jānan strīṇāṁ doṣo mahātyayaḥ ||

“Who indeed would knowingly keep in his house a woman whose mind is set on another—dangerous like a she-serpent? For the fault found in women—attachment to another man—becomes a cause of great calamity.”
