Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical value of earned reputation: a ruler’s standing is affirmed by the praise of a respected authority (Paraśurāma), and true friendship is expressed through consistent public acknowledgment of another’s virtues.

Akṛtavraṇa reports to a king that Paraśurāma repeatedly speaks about him, calling Sṛñjaya a beloved friend and a rājarṣi, thereby honoring the king’s lineage and stature through Paraśurāma’s testimony.
