अम्बोपाख्याने तापसानां विचारः तथा होत्रवाहनस्य उपदेशः
Ambā among ascetics; Hotravāhana directs her to Paraśurāma
(अभिनन्दस्व मां राजन् सदा प्रियहिते रताम् । प्रतिपादय मां राजन् धर्मार्थ चैव धर्मतः ।।
abhinandāsva māṃ rājan sadā priyahite ratām | pratipādaya māṃ rājan dharmārthaṃ caiva dharmataḥ || tvaṃ hi manasā dhyātas tvayā cāpy upamantritā ||
“రాజా! నేను ఎల్లప్పుడూ నీకు ప్రియమైనదానికీ హితమైనదానికీ అంకితమై ఉన్నాను; నన్ను స్వీకరించి ఆనందించు. నరేశ్వరా! ధర్మానుసారంగా, ధర్మార్థమే నన్ను గ్రహించి నీ పాదాల వద్ద స్థానం ఇవ్వు. నేను మనసులో నిన్నే నిరంతరం ధ్యానించాను; నీవు కూడా ఏకాంతంలో నాకు వివాహప్రతిపాదన చేశావు।” ఇది విని శాల్వపతి చిరునవ్వుతో అన్నాడు— “సుందరీ! నీవు ముందే మరొకరిది అయ్యావు; కనుక నిన్ను భార్యగా కోరను।”
