लोकस्तं वेद यदहं पितु: प्रियचिकीर्षया । प्राप्तं राज्यं परित्यज्य ब्रह्म॒चर्यव्रते स्थित:
lokas taṃ veda yad ahaṃ pituḥ priyacikīrṣayā | prāptaṃ rājyaṃ parityajya brahmacaryavrate sthitaḥ ||
పితృప్రియాన్ని సాధించాలనే సంకల్పంతో నేను నాకు లభించిన రాజ్యాన్ని త్యజించి, బ్రహ్మచర్యవ్రతంలో దృఢంగా నిలిచినవాడనని లోకమంతా తెలుసు।
