Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 165 — Bhīṣma’s Appraisal and Karṇa’s Rebuttal (भीष्म–कर्ण विवादः)
विन्दानुविन्दावावन्त्यौ संमतौ रथसत्तमौ । कृतिनौ समरे तात दृढवीर्यपराक्रमौ
vindānuvindāv āvantyau saṃmatau rathasattamau | kṛtinau samare tāta dṛḍhavīryaparākramau ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—అవంతీ దేశపు యువరాజులు విందుడు, అనువిందుడు—ఇద్దరూ శ్రేష్ఠ రథయోధులుగా అంగీకరింపబడ్డారు. ఓ తాత! వారు సమరంలో నిపుణులు, యుద్ధకళల్లో ప్రావీణ్యం గలవారు, దృఢమైన బలం మరియు పరాక్రమంతో సమృద్ధులు.
