Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 165 — Bhīṣma’s Appraisal and Karṇa’s Rebuttal (भीष्म–कर्ण विवादः)
व्यलीकं पाण्डवेयेन भीमसेनानुजेन ह । दिशो विजयता राजन् श्वेतवाहेन भारत
vyalīkaṃ pāṇḍaveyena bhīmasenānujena ha | diśo vijayatā rājan śvetavāhena bhārata ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—రాజా, భారతా! భీమసేనుని అనుజుడు, శ్వేతాశ్వవాహనుడైన పాండవ అర్జునుడు ఒకప్పుడు దిగ్విజయయాత్రలో త్రిగర్తులకు అప్రీతి కలిగించాడు. ఆ పూర్వవైరాన్ని స్మరించుకొని ఆ వీరులు దృఢనిశ్చయంతో యుద్ధభూమిలో ప్రవేశించి మనసుపెట్టి యుద్ధం చేస్తారు.
