ब्राह्मणान् प्रथमं द्वेष्टि गुरूंश्व मधुसूदन । भृत्यान् भक्तिमतश्चापि तत् पराभवलक्षणम्
sañjaya uvāca |
brāhmaṇān prathamaṃ dveṣṭi gurūṃś ca madhusūdana |
bhṛtyān bhaktimataś cāpi tat parābhavalakṣaṇam ||
సంజయుడు పలికెను— ఓ మధుసూదన! దుర్యోధనుడు మొదట బ్రాహ్మణులను ద్వేషిస్తాడు; తరువాత గురువులను, పెద్దలను అవమానిస్తాడు; తనకు భక్తిగా ఉన్న సేవకులకూ ద్రోహం చేస్తాడు—ఇది పరాజయానికి స్పష్టమైన లక్షణం.
