Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes dharma through truth-revelation: concealed identity and rightful precedence should be clarified when the time demands moral and social order. Knowing one’s true lineage is presented as ethically significant, especially when it affects duty, seniority, and rightful standing among brothers.

Vāyudeva urges the addressed person to accompany him so that the Pāṇḍavas will come to know that he is Kuntī’s son and was born before Yudhiṣṭhira. It signals an impending public recognition of a hidden birth and its implications for the Pāṇḍava family hierarchy.
