हृष्य सौवीरकन्याभि: श्लाघस्वार्थर्यथा पुरा । मा च सैन्धवकन्यानामवसन्नो वशं गम:,तू सौवीरदेशकी कन्याओं (अपनी पत्नियों)-के साथ हर्षका अनुभव कर। पहलेकी भाँति अपने धनकी अधिकताके लिये गर्व कर। विपत्तिमें पड़कर सिन्धुदेशीय (शत्रुदेशकी) कन्याओंके वशमें न हो जा

hṛṣya sauvīraka-kanyābhiḥ ślāghasva arthaiḥ yathā purā | mā ca saindhava-kanyānām avasanno vaśaṃ gamaḥ ||

సౌవీర దేశపు కన్యలతో—నీ భార్యలతో—ఆనందించు. మునుపటిలాగే నీవు సంపాదించిన వైభవంపై గర్వించు. కానీ అపదలో పడి సింధు దేశపు కన్యల (శత్రుదేశపు స్త్రీల) వశం చెందకు.
