अनेक युगों तथा असंख्य वर्षोकी आयुवाले नरकासुरको युद्धमें मारकर श्रीकृष्ण उसके यहाँसे सहस्रों राजकन्याओंको (उद्धार करके) ले गये और उन सबके साथ उन्होंने विधिपूर्वक विवाह किया ।। निर्मोचने षट् सहस्रा: पाशैर्बद्धा महासुरा: । ग्रहीतुं नाशकंश्रैनं त॑ त्वं प्रार्थथसे बलात्
nirmocane ṣaṭ-sahasrāḥ pāśair baddhā mahāsurāḥ | grahītuṃ nāśakaṃs taṃ tvam prārthayase balāt ||
వారి విమోచన సమయంలో పాశాలతో బంధించబడ్డ ఆరు వేల మహాసురులు ఉన్నారు; అయినా వారు ఆయనను పట్టుకోలేకపోయారు. అలాంటి ఆయనను నీవు బలప్రయోగంతో పట్టుకోవాలని కోరుతున్నావా!
