कि ते जनक्षयेणेह कृतेन भरतर्षभ । यस्मिज्जिते जितं तत् स्यात् पुमानेक: स दृश्यताम्
ki te janakṣayeṇeha kṛtena bharatarṣabha | yasmiñ jite jitaṃ tat syāt pumān ekaḥ sa dṛśyatām ||
వైశంపాయనుడు అన్నాడు—“భరతవృషభా, ఇక్కడ జనక్షయం చేయడం వల్ల నీకు ఏమి లాభం? నీ పక్షంలో అర్జునుని జయించగల ఒకే ఒక్క వీరుణ్ని కనుగొను; అతడు జయించబడితే నీ విజయమే స్థిరమని భావించవచ్చు.”
