कस्य कार्य किमिति वै परिक्रोशन्ति गालव । विप्रवर गालव! यहाँ प्रतिदिन सबेरे और संध्याके समय सभी दिक्पाल एकत्र हो उच्च स्वरसे यह पूछते हैं कि किसको क्या काम है?
kasya kāryaṃ kim iti vai parikrośanti gālava | vipravara gālava! iha pratidinaṃ sabere ca saṃdhyā-kāle sarve dikpālā ekatra bhūtvā uccaiḥ-svarena etat pṛcchanti—kasya kiṃ kāryam iti |
యుపర్ణుడు అన్నాడు—“ఓ గాలవా, ఓ విప్రవరా! ఇక్కడ ప్రతిరోజూ ఉదయం మరియు సంధ్యాసమయాల్లో సమస్త దిక్పాలకులు కూడి, గొంతెత్తి ఇలా అడుగుతారు—‘ఎవరి పని ఏమిటి? ఏమి చేయవలెను?’”
