प्रियं कार्य हि मे तस्य यस्यास्मि वचने स्थित: । ब्रूहि गालव यास्यामि शृणु चाप्यपरां दिशम्,मैं जिनकी आज्ञाके अधीन हूँ, उन भगवान् विष्णुका प्रिय कार्य मुझे अवश्य करना है; अतः गालव! बताओ, क्या मैं पूर्व दिशामें चलूँ अथवा दूसरी दिशाका भी वर्णन सुन लो
priyaṃ kāryaṃ hi me tasya yasyāsmi vacane sthitaḥ | brūhi gālava yāsyāmi śṛṇu cāpyaparāṃ diśam ||
నేను ఎవరి ఆజ్ఞకు లోబడి ఉన్నానో, ఆ భగవాన్ విష్ణువుకు ప్రియమైన కార్యాన్ని నేను తప్పక చేయాలి. కాబట్టి, ఓ గాలవా, చెప్పు—నేను పూర్వ దిశకు బయలుదేరనా? లేక మరొక దిశ గురించిన వివరణను కూడా చెప్పు; నేను విని తగిన నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంటాను.
