Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 2 — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Inquiry for His Kin and the Vision of a Punitive Realm
स तीव्रगन्धसंतप्तो देवदूतमुवाच ह । गम्यतां तत्र येषां त्वं दूतस्तेषामुपान्तिकम्
sa tīvra-gandha-santapto deva-dūtam uvāca ha | gamyatāṃ tatra yeṣāṃ tvaṃ dūtas teṣām upāntikam |
అసహ్యమైన దుర్గంధంతో బాధపడుతూ అతడు దేవదూతతో ఇలా అన్నాడు—“నీవు ఎవరి దూతవో వారి వద్దకే తిరిగి వెళ్లు. నేను అక్కడికి రాను; నేనిక్కడే నిలిచిపోతాను. ఈ విషయాన్ని నీ యజమానులకు తెలియజెయ్యి. ఎందుకంటే నా సమీపంలో ఉండటం వల్ల ఇక్కడ నా ఈ దుఃఖిత సోదరులు, బంధువులు కొంతైనా సాంత్వన పొందుతున్నారు.”
