Chapter 81: Trust, Allies, and the Qualifications of the King’s Artha-Secretary (अर्थसचिव)
एकान्तेन हि विश्वास: कृत्स्नो धर्मार्थनाशक: । अविश्वासश्च सर्वत्र मृत्युना च विशिष्यते
ekāntena hi viśvāsaḥ kṛtsno dharmārthanāśakaḥ | aviśvāsaś ca sarvatra mṛtyunā ca viśiṣyate ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—ఎవరిపైనా అంధంగా పెట్టిన విశ్వాసం ధర్మమూ అర్థమూ రెండింటినీ పూర్తిగా నాశనం చేస్తుంది; అలాగే ప్రతి చోట ప్రతి ఒక్కరినీ అనుమానించడం మరణానికన్నా ఘోరం. అందుకే జ్ఞానులు అంధనమ్మకానికీ సర్వసందేహానికీ మధ్యనున్న మార్గాన్ని అనుసరిస్తారు।
