राज्ञोऽभिषेकः, अराजकदोषः, दण्डधारणस्य आवश्यकता

Royal Consecration, the Fault of Kinglessness, and the Necessity of Enforcement

वेत्ति ज्ञानविसर्ग च निग्रहानुग्रहं तथा । यथोक्त वृत्तेर्थीरस्य क्षेमाश्रमपदं भवेत्‌,जो तत्त्वज्ञान, सर्वत्याग, इन्द्रियसंयम तथा प्राणियोंपर अनुग्रह करना जानता है तथा जिसका पहले कहे अनुसार उत्तम आचार-विचार है, उस धीर पुरुषको कल्याणमय गृहस्थाश्रमसे मिलनेवाले फलकी प्राप्ति होती है

vetti jñāna-visargaṃ ca nigrahānugrahaṃ tathā | yathokta-vṛtter dhīrasya kṣemāśrama-padaṃ bhavet ||

భీష్ముడు పలికెను—జ్ఞానాన్ని యథోచితంగా ప్రసాదించుటను, నియమము (నిగ్రహము) మరియు అనుగ్రహమును తెలిసికొని, ఉపదేశించిన విధముగా ఉత్తమాచారముతో నడుచుకొనువాడు—ఆ ధీరుడు యథావిధిగా ఆచరించిన గృహస్థాశ్రమమునకు సంబంధించిన క్షేమకరమైన స్థితిని, దాని ఫలమును పొందును।
