Āśrama-dharma: Duties of the Four Life-Stages (आश्रमधर्मः)
यत् स्कन्नमस्य तत् पूर्व यदस्कन्नं तदुत्तरम् | बहूनि यज्ञरूपाणि नानाकर्मफलानि च
yat skannam asya tat pūrvaṁ yad askannaṁ tad uttaram | bahūni yajñarūpāṇi nānākarmaphalāni ca ||
ఈ విధిలో ‘స్కన్న’ అని పిలువబడే ఆహుతి ముందుగా (ప్రారంభంగా) ఉంటుంది; ‘అస్కన్న’ అనబడేది తరువాత (సమాప్తిగా) ఉంటుంది. ఈ విధంగా యజ్ఞాలకు అనేక రూపాలు ఉన్నాయి; కర్మమూ సంకల్పమూ అనుసరించి అవి విభిన్న ఫలితాలను ఇస్తాయి.
