लोकस्य कदनं कृत्वा लोकनाथो विशाम्पते । अभिशापभयादू् भीतो भवन्तं नोपसर्पति,प्रजापालक भीष्म! ये लोकनाथ युधिष्ठिर जगत्का संहार करके शापके भयसे त्रस्त हो उठे हैं; इसीलिये आपके निकट नहीं आते हैं
lokasya kadanaṁ kṛtvā lokanātho viśāmpate | abhiśāpa-bhayād bhīto bhavantaṁ nopasarpati || prajā-pālaka bhīṣma! ye lokanātha yudhiṣṭhira jagat-kā saṁhāra karke śāpa-ke bhaya-se trasta ho uṭhe haiṁ; isīliye āpke nikaṭ nahīṁ āte haiṁ |
వాయుదేవుడు పలికెను—హే ప్రజాపతీ! లోకాన్ని విధ్వంసం చేసి లోకనాథుడు ఇప్పుడు శాపభయంతో భీతుడై ఉన్నాడు; అందుచేత మీ సమీపానికి రాడు. హే ప్రజాపాలక భీష్మా! జగత్తులో జరిగిన సంహారానంతరం శాపం పడుతుందనే భయంతో కలత చెందిన రాజు యుధిష్ఠిరుడు మీ సన్నిధిని దూరం చేస్తున్నాడు.
