All beings depend upon a single ultimate ground: they exist within it, are sustained by it, and finally return into it. Recognizing this supports equanimity and loosens possessiveness and fear, aligning conduct with dharma and the pursuit of inner peace.
In Śānti Parva, Bhīṣma instructs Yudhiṣṭhira on dharma and higher knowledge after the war. This line occurs within a reflective teaching that shifts attention from transient worldly upheaval to the enduring principle in which the cosmos rests and into which it dissolves.
