वैशम्पायन उवाच तमुवाच महाराज व्यासो वेदविदां वर: । नारदं समभ्िप्रेक्ष्य सर्वज्ञानां पुरातनम्‌

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: tam uvāca mahārāja Vyāso vedavidāṁ varaḥ | Nāradaṁ samabhiprekṣya sarvajñānāṁ purātanam ||

Translation

వైశంపాయనుడు అన్నాడు—మహారాజా! అప్పుడు వేదవేత్తలలో శ్రేష్ఠుడైన వ్యాసుడు, సర్వజ్ఞ మహర్షులలో అత్యంత ప్రాచీనుడైన నారదుని వైపు చూసి, యుధిష్ఠిరునితో ఇలా అన్నాడు.
