अध्याय ३५१ — उञ्छवृत्ति-व्रतसिद्धेः मानुषस्य परमगतिः
Sūrya–Nāga Dialogue on the Perfected Gleaner-Ascetic
तत्र न्याय्यमिदं कर्तु भारावतरणं मया । अथ नानासमुद्धूतैर्वसुधायां यथाक्रमम्,“अत: अब मुझे पृथ्वीपर क्रमश: नाना अवतार धारण करके इसके भारको उतारना उचित होगा
tatra nyāyyam idaṃ kartuṃ bhārāvataraṇaṃ mayā | atha nānāsamuddhūtair vasudhāyāṃ yathākramam ||
కాబట్టి భూమి భారాన్ని దించుటకు ఈ విధంగా కార్యం చేయడం నాకు ధర్మసమ్మతం. అందుచేత యథాక్రమంగా నేను అనేక అవతారాలు ధరించి, ఆవిర్భవించిన శక్తుల ద్వారా లోకభారాన్ని తేలికపరచుదును.
