धर्मप्रतिष्ठाहेतोश्व मनुं स्वारोचिषं ततः । अध्यापयामास तदा लोकानां हितकाम्यया,फिर इस धर्मकी प्रतिष्ठाके लिये समस्त लोकोंके हितकी कामनासे उन्होंने स्वारोचिषमनुको उस समय इस धर्मका उपदेश किया

Transliteration

dharmapratiṣṭhāhetoś ca manuṃ svārociṣaṃ tataḥ | adhyāpayāmāsa tadā lokānāṃ hitakāmyayā ||

Translation

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—ధర్మాన్ని స్థిరంగా ప్రతిష్ఠించుటకై, సమస్త లోకాల హితాన్ని కోరుతూ, ఆ సమయంలో ఆయన స్వారోచిష మనువుకు ఈ ధర్మాన్ని ఉపదేశించెను।
