यस्य प्रसादाद् वक्ष्यामि नारायणकथामिमाम् | वैशम्पायनजीने कहा--अमिततेजस्वी भगवान् व्यासको नमस्कार है, जिनके कृपाप्रसादसे मैं भगवान् नारायणकी यह कथा कह रहा हूँ
yasya prasādād vakṣyāmi nārāyaṇa-kathām imām |
వైశంపాయనుడు అన్నాడు—అమిత తేజస్సుగల భగవాన్ వ్యాసునికి నమస్కారం; ఆయన కృపా-ప్రసాదం వల్లనే నేను భగవాన్ నారాయణుని ఈ పవిత్ర కథను చెప్పగలుగుతున్నాను।
