This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it marks the textual boundary of a chapter and situates it within the Mahābhārata’s Śānti Parvan, specifically the Mokṣa-dharma teachings and the Nārāyaṇīya portion, thereby framing the surrounding discourse as oriented toward liberation (mokṣa) and devotion to Nārāyaṇa.
The text is concluding a chapter: it formally announces that the adhyāya has ended and identifies its placement within the larger structure of the epic (Śānti Parvan → Mokṣa-dharma → Nārāyaṇīya).
