रविस्तु संतापयते लोकान् रश्मिभिरुल्बणै: । सर्वतस्तेज आदत्ते नित्यमक्षयमण्डल:,सूर्यदेव अपनी प्रचण्ड किरणोंसे समस्त जगत्को संतप्त करते हैं। वे सब जगहसे तेजको स्वयं ग्रहण करते हैं (उनके तेजका कभी हास नहीं होता); इसलिये उनका मण्डल सदा अक्षय बना रहता है
ravis tu santāpayate lokān raśmibhir ulbaṇaiḥ | sarvatas teja ādatte nityam akṣayamaṇḍalaḥ ||
నారదుడు అన్నాడు—సూర్యుడు తన ఉగ్ర కిరణాలతో లోకాలను దహింపజేస్తాడు. అతడు అన్ని దిక్కుల నుండీ తేజస్సును నిరంతరం గ్రహిస్తాడు; అతని మండలం ఎప్పటికీ క్షీణించదు; అందుచేత అతని సూర్యబింబం సదా అక్షయంగా ఉంటుంది।
