अग्नीषोमोत्पत्तिः

शुकस्यैतद्‌ वच: श्रुत्वा व्यास: परमविस्मित: । अनध्यायनिमित्तेडस्मिन्निदं वचनमब्रवीत्‌,शुकदेवजीका यह वचन सुनकर व्यासजी अत्यन्त आश्चर्यसे चकित हो उठे और अनध्यायके कारणपर प्रकाश डालते हुए इस प्रकार बोले--

śukasyaitad vacaḥ śrutvā vyāsaḥ paramavismitaḥ | anadhyāya-nimitte 'sminn idaṃ vacanam abravīt ||

శుకుని ఈ మాటలు విని వ్యాసుడు అత్యంత ఆశ్చర్యానికి లోనయ్యాడు; అనధ్యాయానికి కారణాన్ని స్పష్టపరచాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో ఈ విధంగా పలికాడు।
