जनक–सुलभा संवादः

Janaka–Sulabhā Dialogue on Mokṣa and Non-attachment

अगाधजन्मामरणं च राजन्‌ निरामयं वीतभयं शिवं च । समीक्ष्य मोहं त्यज वाद्य सर्व- ज्ञानस्य तत्त्वार्थमिदं विदित्वा,कराल! तुमने मुझसे आज परब्रह्मका ज्ञान सुना है; अतः तुम्हारे मनमें तनिक भी भय नहीं होना चाहिये। वह परब्रह्म परम पवित्र, शोकरहित, आदि, मध्य और अनन्‍्तसे शून्य, जन्म-मृत्युसे बचानेवाला, निरामय, निर्भय तथा कल्याणमय है। राजन्‌! उसका मैंने यथावत्‌रूपसे प्रतिपादन किया है। वही सम्पूर्ण ज्ञानोंका तात््विक अर्थ है। ऐसा जानकर उसका ज्ञान प्राप्त करके आज मोहका परित्याग कर दो

agādha-janma-maraṇaṁ ca rājan nirāmayaṁ vīta-bhayaṁ śivaṁ ca | samīkṣya mohaṁ tyaja vādya sarva-jñānasya tattvārtham idaṁ viditvā ||

వసిష్ఠుడు పలికెను—ఓ రాజా, జననమరణ విషయమున అగాధమైన, నిరామయమైన, భయరహితమైన, శివస్వరూపమైన ఆ పరమతత్త్వాన్ని గ్రహించి, నేడు మోహాన్ని విడిచిపెట్టు. నేను దానిని యథార్థంగా వివరించితిని; ఇదే సమస్త జ్ఞానముల తత్త్వార్థము.

Educational Q&A

The core teaching is that realization of the Supreme Reality—beyond the ordinary grasp of birth and death, and characterized by freedom from affliction and fear—reveals the essential meaning of all knowledge. With that understanding, one should abandon moha (delusion) and become established in fearlessness and clarity.

In a didactic dialogue within the Śānti Parva, the sage Vasiṣṭha addresses a king, urging him to reflect on the teaching just given about the Supreme Reality and, on the strength of that insight, to relinquish fear and delusion.
