Educational Q&A

The verse juxtaposes blessing and limitation: one may receive a desirable boon (a gentle, worthy wife) while also bearing an enduring condition (a transformed appearance). Ethically, it highlights acceptance of destiny’s mixed outcomes and steadiness in household duty despite personal hardship.

Śrī Kṛṣṇa delivers a confident prediction: the addressed person will certainly obtain a delicate bride, yet will assume a monkey-like form from the time of marriage onward. The statement functions as an assurance and a forewarning about the consequences that will accompany the marital transition.
