अध्याय २९७ — श्रेयः, धृति, दान-नियमाः

Welfare, Steadfastness, and Norms of Giving

यो दुर्लभतरं प्राप्य मानुष्यं द्विषते नरः । धर्मावमन्ता कामात्मा भवेत्स खलु वज्च्यते

yo durlabhataraṁ prāpya mānuṣyaṁ dviṣate naraḥ | dharmāvamantā kāmātmā bhavet sa khalu vañcyate ||

అత్యంత దుర్లభమైన మానవజన్మను పొందినప్పటికీ ఇతరులపై ద్వేషం పెంచి, ధర్మాన్ని అవమానించి, కోరికల వశుడై పోయే వాడు—అతడు నిజంగా మానవజీవితం అందించే మహాలాభం నుండి వంచితుడవుతాడు.
