Educational Q&A

The verse teaches that righteous governance (dharma-based kingship) sustains social welfare and even the natural world: when the ruler is just, prosperity, health, and abundance arise without obstruction.

Vāyu describes the ideal conditions during Rāma’s reign—trees continuously flowering and fruiting and cows producing abundant milk—as an illustration of the harmony and prosperity associated with dharmic rule.
