अर्थाश्व दुर्लभॉल्लोके क्लेशांश्व सुलभांस्तथा । दुःखं चैव कुट॒म्बार्थे यः पश्यति स मुच्यते,'संसारमें धन दुर्लभ है और क्लेश सुलभ। कुटुम्बके पालन-पोषणके लिये भी जहाँ बहुत दु:ख उठाना पड़ता है, यह सब जिसकी दृष्टिमें है, वह मुक्त हो जाता है"
Transliteration
arthāś ca durlabhā loke kleśāṃś ca sulabhāṃs tathā | duḥkhaṃ caiva kuṭumbārthe yaḥ paśyati sa mucyate ||
Translation
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—ఈ లోకంలో ధనలాభం దుర్లభం; కానీ కష్టాలు సులభంగా దొరుకుతాయి. కుటుంబ పోషణకోసం కూడా మనిషి దుఃఖాన్ని భరించవలసి వస్తుంది. ఈ యథార్థాన్ని స్పష్టంగా చూసేవాడు మోహాసక్తులనుండి విడిచి విముక్తుడవుతాడు.
