एवं स्वभावमेवैतत्‌ तद्‌ बुद्ध्वा विहरेन्नर: । अशोचचन्नप्रहृष्यंश्व स वै विगतमत्सर:,इस प्रकार “आत्मा असंग एवं निर्लेप है” इस बातको जानकर मनुष्य शोक, हर्ष और देषका परित्याग करके विचरण करे

evaṁ svabhāvam evaitat tad buddhvā viharen naraḥ | aśocan na prahṛṣyaṁś ca sa vai vigata-matsaraḥ ||

ఇదే ఆత్మ స్వభావం—అది అసంగం, నిర్లేపం. ఇది తెలుసుకొని మనిషి శోకంలో కూరుకుపోక, హర్షంలో తేలిపోక; ఈర్ష్యా-ద్వేషాలను విడిచి, మత్సరరహితుడై జీవించాలి.
